EVITA AND ALEX – This is a long overdue post of praise for Ms. Elizabeth Lloyd, wedding photographer extraordinaire, who captured our beautiful wedding last year. When my husband and I decided to have a destination wedding in Mexico, we accepted that finding quality vendors would likely be a more difficult task than if we stayed in Los Angeles. Luckily, our wedding coordinators provided us with a list of photographers they worked with in the past and that came highly recommended by their past brides. Elizabeth’s portfolio caught our eye, we loved the type of shots she captured – natural, candid, emotional and cinematic. We contacted her to discuss our thoughts about the type of photography we had in mind and we remarked after that conversation that we felt on the same wavelength and that we felt confident that we would be in great hands with Elizabeth. Finding our photographer turned out to be surprisingly easy!
On the day of, I was a nervous wreck as I’m sure most brides are. Elizabeth came by to say a quick hello to me and then I felt like she (and her fantastic second shooter) melted into the day seamlessly. My husband and I are, quite honestly, not great at taking lovey dovey photos. In fact, we skipped engagement photos entirely because we were so uncomfortable with the idea of them. Despite this, Elizabeth and her assistant worked together and made us feel so comfortable and did a fantastic job capturing our elation and love and the excitement of that day. Our photos are so natural and relaxed and are the absolute perfect representation of our day.
